The Security Manager plays a crucial role in safeguarding personnel, materials, equipment, and the construction site from various threats. The position requires developing and implementing a comprehensive security strategy tailored to the marine environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop a customized security plan for the construction site.
  2. Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability studies, and site inspections to identify potential threats.
  3. Closely coordinate with port authorities, maritime security agencies, contractors, and local law enforcement to ensure compliance with maritime security regulations.
  4. Establish and manage site access control measures, including vehicle and personnel identification procedures.
  5. Oversee the installation and monitoring of surveillance systems, fencing, lighting, and alarm systems.
  6. Lead and manage on-site security personnel, including scheduling, training, and supervision.
  7. Respond to and investigate security incidents, accidents, or breaches in a timely manner.
  8. Maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
  9. Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to enforce safety and security protocols.
  10. Develop emergency response procedures and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.
  11. Liaise with local law enforcement, coast guard, customs, and other relevant stakeholders to address potential security threats.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. Over 5 years of security management experience, preferably in large-scale or infrastructure projects.
  3. Experience working in harbor/marine or high-risk construction environments is highly desirable.
  4. Knowledge of maritime security protocols and international port security standards is essential.
  5. Strong leadership and communication skills are required to effectively manage on-site security personnel.
  6. Able to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
  7. Familiarity with security technology systems, such as CCTV, access control, and drones, is an advantage.
  8. Certifications: Certified Protection Professional (CPP), ISPS Code Certification, or Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO), OSHA or equivalent safety certifications, First Aid/CPR certification.
