This role is responsible for managing and developing a competent supply chain team that can plan, organize, manage and execute contract engineering activities associated with the ORP process phases.

  • Manage and coach the supply chain team to effectively execute the full sourcing process from demand challenge, strategy development and implementation through prequalification, tendering, award of contracts/order, up to contract close out.
  • Develop strategic, short and long term projects delivery plans in order to achieve established goals and mitigate potential claims.
  • Engage and align end users to ensure a common goal and understanding, and supply chain latest standard documents are used.
  • Ensure the fundamental supply chain principles, processes and procedures are adhered to in developing strategies, tactics and contract management plans.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain HSE as top priority through compliance to house rules and LSR (lifesaving rules).
  • Develop and implement strategic, short and long term projects delivery plans.
  • Manage, coach and support the supply chain team to effectively execute the full sourcing process.
  • Engage and align end users to ensure a common goal and understanding.
  • Escalate issues to stakeholders in a timely manner to avoid adverse impact on the business.
  • Lead improvements in supply chain process implementation and value identification and realization.
  • Establish and maintain quality relationships and effective communication links with key internal- and external stakeholders.
  • Coach, develop and motivate team members to assess their skills and capabilities and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role you will need

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, operations management, quantity surveying, economics, law, business, supply chain management or equivalent Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in Contract Engineering with a minimum of 10 years in a management or supervisory position.
  • Proven experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and category management within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to effectively manage supplier relationships.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, best practices in the oil and gas industry.
