Job Title: Senior Highway Engineer

About the Position:

The role of a Senior Highway Engineer is crucial as they lead and oversee the engineering aspects of road, bridge, and tunnel construction projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and construction supervision for highways, bridges, and tunnels, ensuring all phases meet the required standards.
  • Review and approve technical documents, including civil drawings, structural designs, geotechnical reports, and shop drawings related to road and tunnel works.
  • Oversee alignment design, grading, drainage, retaining structures, pavement layers, and traffic safety systems to guarantee project success.
  • Coordinate with bridge and tunnel specialists for structural analysis and system integration, contributing to the overall efficiency of the project.
  • Supervise junior engineers, draftsmen, and site teams, emphasizing quality and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support in tendering, quantity estimation, and preparing technical proposals that effectively communicate project details.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with specialization in highway and tunnel design.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in highway, bridge, and tunnel design and construction, with expertise in large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, such as expressways, interchanges, and urban tunnels.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, OpenRoads, STAAD, MIDAS, RM Bridge, and tunnel design tools.
