Job Summary:
- This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a community setting to help patients achieve optimal health and quality of life.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Home Health Nurse provides skilled nursing services in accordance with physician orders and under a plan of care. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Telephonic follow-up consultations
- Monitoring vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, oximeter statistics)
- Monitoring blood glucose levels, offering teaching and support for patients and families
- Preparing medications as per physician orders
- Administering medications and providing instructions on various forms (injections, IVs, inhalation, oral infusions, rectal)
- Pain management, medication monitoring, and support for patients with acute or chronic health conditions
- Education and counseling consistent with treatment and care management needs
- Wound assessment and dressing changes
- General nursing care
- Knowledge of advanced foot care is a plus, but not required
- Monitoring pain control and performing cardiac assessments
- Supervision, health teaching, and support for families and caregivers on a regular basis
- Assessing mental status
- Attending and completing Pharmacovigilance Pharma and Product Training, understanding how to collect and report safety data
- Reporting adverse events and following country regulations for AE reporting procedures. Reporting any concerns or changes in patient health to the program or treating physician
- Reporting adverse events/product complaints per client requirements and SOPPs
- Familiarity with nursing equipment (e.g., ECG machines, spirometry, monitors) and performing nursing assessments
Organizational Responsibilities:
The nurse will reflect and interpret the organization's vision, mission, and core values in their work with enthusiasm and commitment. They will act in accordance with relevant legislation and company policies, standards, and procedures. The nurse will develop and maintain cooperative working relationships to ensure integrated, seamless service delivery to patients, families, and clients. They will understand their role in maintaining a safe workplace and reducing workplace injuries. The nurse will assist Program Managers in managing Patient Support Programs by liaising with hospitals, distributors, pharmacies, and patients. They will work closely with staff to implement required services for enrolled patients in the programs. The nurse will carry out home visits for patient care as required. They will prepare timely monitoring reports (monthly patient numbers, logistics, and quality assurance reports quarterly) for internal review. This includes tracking patient files with staff in real time. The nurse will maintain and update electronic program files, including patient and quality assurance data. They will conduct administrative duties for the office.
Educational Background and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required
- At least 2 years of working experience in a healthcare setting
- Must provide evidence of local health authority license or eligibility letter
- Excellent command of English
- Demonstrated clinical nursing knowledge and experience in providing direct patient care
Job Circumstances:
- The position is based in Muscat, Alseeb, Almwallah, Aljanobia Office. Frequent travel to clients and partners outside the designated region may be required
- Flexibility in travel and working hours is essential
- Travel to the UAE may be required for training, if necessary
- Must be certified in CPR and/or First Aid
- Must provide a Good Standing Certificate, no older than 6 months
