Senior Concept Engineer Job Opportunity

Seeking a seasoned Senior Concept Engineer to provide technical leadership for managing complex, integrated oil and gas fields in Oman.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver conceptual engineering for integrated Oil & Gas field developments.
  • Provide specialist process engineering support within opportunity maturation teams.
  • Deliver optimized concept selection reports (CSR) and preliminary basis for design (BfD).
  • Define project scope and work plans for subsequent phases (FEED/DD).
  • Oversee and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring stakeholder involvement.
  • Ensure compliance with ALARP HSE standards, asset integrity, and operability requirements.
  • Facilitate project assurance events such as workshops and peer reviews.
  • Offer expert concept engineering support, including mentorship for junior staff.
  • Implement lean principles and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct GHG calculations and contribute to net-zero emission initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in Exploration & Production, with at least 5 years in Engineering Design Consulting for oil and gas facilities.
  • Familiarity with oil, gas, water, and condensate systems; experience with sour hydrocarbons and EOR is a plus.
  • MSc in Engineering, along with membership in a relevant professional institute, will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in industry-standard process simulation software (e.g., PIPESIM, UNISYM).
  • Knowledge of international standards, particularly Shell DEPs, is preferred.
