Discipline Leader

We're seeking a skilled Discipline Leader to oversee mechanical engineering activities and ensure the quality of detailed engineering, meeting project goals and critical paths.

1. Detailed Engineering Coordination: Oversee detailed engineering development in locations such as India, China, and Brazil.
2. Integration and Quality Control: Ensure integration with other disciplines and manufacturing and quality controls before final shipments.
3. Operational Leadership: Address operational needs, represent the project, and respect governance requirements.
4. Cross-Cultural Communication: Communicate effectively with different stakeholders and manage communication across diverse nationalities and cultures.
5. Process Optimization: Optimize mechanical activities to expedite project execution and reduce costs.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 15 years of professional experience.
2. Advanced English proficiency and excellent communication skills.
3. Previous experience working on capital projects is required.
4. Experience with mining projects such as iron ore beneficiation, pelletizing, and briquette plants is an advantage.
5. Knowledge of bulk material handling and slurry systems (pumps, pipes, agitators, tanks, settling tanks, etc.) is beneficial.
6. Leadership experience in the Mechanical discipline during engineering development.
7. Proficiency in developing Basic and Detailed engineering using Building Information Modeling (BIM).
8. CAD proficiency; experience with BIM construction is a plus.
9. Previous experience in Brownfield projects and construction experience is advantageous.
