Project Governance Lead

This is a high-impact initiative execution position responsible for leading project management efforts and enhancing project delivery effectiveness.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader who can foster collaboration, identify risks, and implement best practices to drive project success and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Establish and enforce project governance standards, ensuring adherence to policies and methodologies.
  2. Develop and promote project management best practices across the organization.
  3. Oversee and monitor key project performance metrics, providing strategic guidance to project managers and teams.
  4. Collaborate with senior leaders to align project outcomes with organizational strategic goals and priorities.
  5. Facilitate project status reporting and ensure timely communication regarding project risks and issues.
  6. Conduct in-depth assessments of project performance and provide recommendations for improvement opportunities.
  7. Mentor and coach project managers and team members to enhance their project management capabilities.
  8. Organize and lead PMO meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  2. 8+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a PMO leadership role.
  3. Advanced knowledge of various project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and relevant tools.
  4. Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  5. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  6. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards.
  7. Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, and/or Agile methodologies highly desirable.
