Job Description

Position: System Administrator and Maintenance Lead

Responsibilities:
  1. Hardware and Software Management: Installation, patching, management, troubleshooting, licensing, and updating hardware and software assets.
  2. Network Administration: Manage network, servers, and technology tools.
  3. User Account Setup and Workstation Configuration: Set up accounts and workstations.
  4. System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor system health, performance, and maintain systems according to requirements.
  5. Disaster Recovery Planning: Backup and disaster recovery planning.
  6. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot issues and outages.
  7. Web Services and Configurations: Administer web services and configurations.
  8. Network Switching and Routing: Manage network administration, switching, and routing.
  9. Security Measures: Ensure security through access controls, backups, firewalls, and system hardening.
  10. Database Administration: Database administration.
  11. System Upgrades: Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
  12. Certifications and Experience: Experience with systems such as Fortigate Firewalls, HP/CISCO/Aruba/D-Link/Allied Telesis Switches, Windows Servers, VM, and databases. Additional experience with Milestone applications, Gallagher, Lenel On-Guard, and Commend IP applications is a plus.
  13. Integration and Testing: Lead system integration of new connected assets. Conduct performance and troubleshooting tests using relevant tools.
  14. Contractor Supervision: Supervise and audit third-party contractors to ensure tasks meet specifications.
  15. Maintenance and Incident Handling: Lead corrective and preventive maintenance tasks with system teams and OEMs. Handle incidents and change management, including incident analysis, reporting, and corrective actions.
  16. Staff Training and Documentation: Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies. Build and maintain an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and system policies.
