Senior Accountant Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting and financial management, with a proven track record of delivering accurate and timely financial reports and analyses.

The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting systems.
  • Analyse financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance and efficiency.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, including department heads and executive leadership, to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
