Officer - Landscaping

- Oversee and manage all landscape maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to established standards and schedules, including but not limited to, mowing, pruning, and irrigation systems.
- Develop and implement landscape designs and plans for new projects and renovations, considering factors such as budget, site conditions, and aesthetic appeal.
- Supervise and train landscaping staff, providing guidance on best practices, safety procedures, and efficient work methods to enhance productivity and quality of work.
- Conduct regular inspections of landscape areas, identifying and addressing issues such as plant diseases, pest infestations, and soil erosion.
- Manage the procurement of landscaping materials, equipment, and supplies, negotiating with vendors to obtain the best prices and ensuring timely delivery.
- Prepare and manage the landscaping budget, tracking expenses and making recommendations for cost-saving measures while maintaining quality.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and sustainability practices, promoting eco-friendly landscaping techniques.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as construction and facilities management, to coordinate landscaping projects and address related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of landscaping activities, including maintenance schedules, material usage, and employee performance.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in landscaping, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- A Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field is required.
- Possession of relevant certifications, such as a Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) or a similar credential, is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscape management, with experience in large-scale commercial or residential projects is preferred.
- Proven experience in managing landscaping teams and overseeing projects from conception to completion is essential.
- Strong understanding of plant identification, soil science, and irrigation systems is crucial.
- Excellent knowledge of landscape design principles, including layout, planting schemes, and hardscape elements is important.
- Proficiency in using landscape design software, such as AutoCAD or similar programs, is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be physically fit and capable of performing manual labor, as well as working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Should have strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
