Role & responsibilities

  • Supervise daily fabrication shop/yard activities including cutting, bending, welding, grinding, and assembly of steel structures/pipes.
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings, isometric drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Allocate manpower and resources to achieve production targets within timelines.
  • Ensure proper usage of machines, tools, and equipment (cutting, rolling, welding, grinding, etc.).
  • Monitor fabrication quality and dimensional accuracy as per project specifications and standards (ASME, AWS, ISO, etc.).
  • Coordinate with QA/QC inspectors for stage-wise and final inspections.
  • Enforce safety practices, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure PPE compliance at all times.
  • Maintain fabrication records (production reports, material consumption, manpower utilization).
  • Liaise with project engineers, planners, and store for material availability and work scheduling.
  • Train and guide workers (welders, fabricators, helpers) to improve efficiency and workmanship.
  • Troubleshoot technical and manpower issues to avoid delays in production.

Preferred candidate profile

To supervise, monitor, and control fabrication activities (structural, piping, or sheet metal) ensuring quality, productivity, and safety standards. The Fabrication Supervisor will lead a team of fabricators, welders, and helpers to meet project schedules and client requirements.
