Job Role: Travel Consultant – Leisure & MICEOverview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Travel Consultant – Leisure & MICE to join our team. This role is responsible for handling both B2C leisure travel services (holiday packages, tours, adventure experiences) and B2B corporate travel services (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions). The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of proven experience in the travel and tourism industry, with a strong understanding of destination management, client service, and vendor relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Leisure Travel (B2C)
- Design, quote, and manage customized holiday packages and itineraries for individual and group travelers.
- Provide clients with expert advice on destinations, accommodations, tours, and experiences.
- Handle end-to-end bookings including flights, hotels, transport, and excursions.
- Deliver excellent customer service to ensure repeat business and referrals.
- MICE Travel (B2B)
- Plan and coordinate corporate travel programs, including meetings, incentive trips, conferences, and exhibitions.
- Liaise with corporate clients to understand requirements and create tailored solutions.
- Negotiate with hotels, venues, and suppliers to secure competitive rates and services.
- Oversee logistics from concept to execution, ensuring smooth delivery of corporate events.
- General Duties
- Maintain strong relationships with travel suppliers and destination partners.
- Keep up to date with travel trends, visa regulations, and emerging destinations.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to the growth of the leisure and MICE divisions.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and itineraries with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in travel consultancy, with exposure to both leisure and MICE segments.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of regional and international destinations.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Ability to design creative itineraries and event solutions.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in booking systems (GDS/Amadeus/Sabre/Galileo) and MS Office.
