Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Global Commercial Director with 15+ years of senior FMCG leadership experience to drive accelerated growth and commercial excellence across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Middle East & North Africa (MENA) markets.

Based in Muscat, this executive role oversees a $300M+ regional portfolio and directs a 6,000+ member multicultural workforce spanning multiple high-growth FMCG categories.

The ideal candidate is a visionary strategist with a proven ability to capture market share, launch innovative consumer products, and deliver breakthrough performance in complex, highly competitive environments. This role requires exceptional cross-cultural leadership skills, deep understanding of consumer behavior, and the agility to navigate diverse regulatory landscapes while upholding the highest standards of operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

• Regional Strategy & Market Development: Design and execute commercial strategies to expand market share, strengthen brand equity, and drive double-digit growth across GCC and MENA FMCG markets.


• Portfolio & Financial Leadership: Oversee P&L for a $300M+ FMCG portfolio, ensuring sustainable revenue streams, margin expansion, and disciplined cost management.


• Cross-Cultural Team Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and develop a 6,000+ employee base across production, sales, and distribution networks, fostering a culture of high performance, inclusion, and continuous improvement.


• Innovation & Brand Expansion: Champion new product development, portfolio diversification, and go-to-market strategies tailored to evolving consumer trends in food, beverage, personal care, and household goods.


• Channel & Distribution Excellence: Strengthen relationships with key retailers, distributors, and e-commerce partners to optimize availability, visibility, and consumer engagement across traditional and modern trade channels.


• Operational & Supply Chain Integration: Collaborate with manufacturing and logistics teams to ensure best-in-class supply chain performance, demand planning, and inventory management across multiple geographies.


• Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement: Build strong relationships with government agencies, trade bodies, and investors to ensure compliance with GCC and MENA regulations, sustainability goals, and ESG commitments.


• Digital Transformation: Leverage advanced analytics, AI-driven insights, and digital commerce strategies to enhance decision-making, consumer reach, and competitive advantage.


Requirements & Experience

• 15+ years of progressive leadership in FMCG commercial management, regional operations, or global business development.


• Proven success managing portfolios exceeding $300M with consistent top-line growth and profitability.


• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire 6,000+ employees across multicultural markets.


• Deep expertise in sales, marketing, category management, and trade marketing within the FMCG sector.


• Strong financial acumen, negotiation skills, and experience driving large-scale P&L performance.


• In-depth knowledge of GCC and MENA consumer trends, retail dynamics, and regulatory environments.


• Fluency in English required; Arabic or French proficiency is a significant advantage.


• MBA or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
