KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. FOOD SAFETY MANAGEMENT
· Develop and implement food safety policies, procedures, and practices in line with regulatory and industry standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO
· Conduct regular inspections of food preparation, storage, and service areas to ensure compliance with safety standards.
2. QUALITY ASSURANCE
· Establish and enforce quality control measures for raw materials, production processes, and finished products.
· Conduct audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
3. HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ENVIRONMENT (HSE) COMPLIANCE
· Implement and monitor HSE policies to ensure a safe working environment.
· Train staff on HSE protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Respond to HSE incidents, conduct investigations, and develop preventive measures.
4. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
· Train employees on food safety standards, hygiene practices, and HSE regulations.
· Ensure staff are certified and competent in relevant food safety and HSE practices.
5. DOCUMENTATION AND REPORTING
· Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, training sessions, and incidents.
· Ensure all certifications, permits, and licenses are up-to-date and compliant with legal requirements.
6. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
· Stay updated with new regulations, industry trends, and best practices in food safety and HSE.
· Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance safety and quality.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Certifications such as HACCP, ISO 22000, or NEBOSH/IOSH are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and HSE standards.
- Experience in the catering or food service industry is an advantage.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and training skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: RO per month
