Overview Of The Role:

• The Forklift Operator is responsible for supporting the IKEA store in providing high service levels to customers while optimizing stock levels at the lowest possible cost. The role involves implementing logistics procedures to ensure high efficiency in goods movement, assisting with commercial tasks on stock management, and upholding customer readiness standards. Operational excellence, safety, and damage control are crucial to this role's success within the logistics function of the retail division.

What You Will Do:

Operational

• Responsible for internal replenishment stock picks from buffer.
• Handle binning to buffer stock as requested from external warehouse to secure weekend requirements.
• Maintain vigilance during picking and binning to reduce discrepancies and stock loss.
• Operate all equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed methods.

Commercial

• Assist in stocking and merchandising of incoming truck shipments to the sales floor.
• Return remaining stocks back to buffer.

Customers

• Ensure all empty boxes are removed and the area is customer-ready before store opening.

Financials

• Reduce internal handling damages to control cost and achieve store profit targets.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Customer focus
• Individual accountability
• Competency in safe and efficient equipment operation

What Qualifies You For The Role:

• High School Education
• 1-2 years of retail experience with an emphasis on goods-flow or supply chain knowledge
• Valid UAE forklift driving license
• Strong physical condition for handling heavy loads
