Job Description

Morison Muscat is seeking to hire a senior candidate 
at the Internal Audit Department.

Key responsibilities include:

∙Developing comprehensive audit plans.

∙Leading and managing audit engagements.

∙Preparing detailed reports with findings and actionable recommendations.

∙Mentoring and guiding junior audit staff.

∙Staying up to date with relevant laws, regulations, and international best practices.

∙Promoting risk management awareness among internal stakeholders.

Requirements

Skills and Knowledge:

∙Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards (such as IIA standards), and financial analysis.

∙Comprehensive understanding of risk assessment and management techniques.

∙Knowledge of relevant Omani financial and regulatory requirements.

∙A sharp analytical mind with the ability to identify complex issues and develop sound solutions.

∙Excellent communication skills for effective reporting and interaction with stakeholders.

∙Ability to lead and mentor audit teams effectively.

∙Proficiency in managing audit projects and engagements.

Qualifications:

. Professional Certification (Mandatory): Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).

. Additional Certifications: Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

. Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

. Experience: 3 - 4 years of core internal audit experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead audits independently and deliver value.

Prior experience with a Big Four accounting or auditing firm is preferred.
