Sales Development Specialist
Siemens, ABB, Rockwell, GE Automation and Cybersecurity is a role focused on selling and developing business for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and cybersecurity solutions for operational technology (OT) environments. They are responsible for identifying new opportunities, managing the entire sales process from leads to contracts, and fostering relationships with customers in industries such as manufacturing, oil and gas, and power. The role requires a deep understanding of both automation technologies and the specific cybersecurity challenges in the industrial and critical infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership: Leading sales efforts, achieving order entry targets, and developing new business in target industries.
Business Development: Identifying and evaluating sales leads and building a strong sales pipeline to ensure sustained growth.
Sales Process Management: Managing the entire sales cycle, from opportunity identification and solution design to contract negotiation and handover to delivery teams.
Customer Engagement: Building and maintaining long-term relationships with customers based on trust and a thorough understanding of their needs.
Technical Collaboration: Working with technical teams to deliver integrated automation and cybersecurity solutions that meet customer requirements.
Market Awareness: Staying informed about the latest trends in industrial automation, digitalization, and cybersecurity to offer innovative solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
Engineering Background: An engineering degree or equivalent is often preferred, providing a strong technical foundation.
Sales Expertise: Proven experience in managing sales processes, including lead generation and forecasting.
Industry Knowledge: Deep knowledge of industries such as process and discrete manufacturing, oil and gas, and critical infrastructure.
Cybersecurity Acumen: Proficiency in understanding and promoting industrial cybersecurity services, particularly for operational technology environments.
Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and teamwork skills to work effectively with internal teams and clients.
Project Management: Experience in managing complex projects from concept to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
