Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Implement and monitor the approved operational plan to ensure alignment with key performance indicators. Take action to address any deviations to meet objectives in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Provide legal consultations and respond to inquiries from the exchange's management in both Arabic and English.
- Draft, review, and organize agreements with clients, as well as bilateral agreements. This includes ensuring all contracts contain penalty clauses and specified timelines.
- Work with management to adopt contracts, agreements, and addendums that have been reviewed and approved in coordination with relevant regulatory bodies.
- Offer legal advice on new investment tools and products the exchange proposes to ensure they comply with local laws and internal policies.
- Provide legal assistance to all regulatory departments to protect the rights of clients, the exchange, and employees, ensuring all related documents and policies are in line with current laws and regulations.
- Assist with auditing department activities and prepare necessary reports for direct supervisors.
- Provide support and advice to internal investigative committees. This involves preparing detailed reports with findings and recommendations for direct supervisors and the human resources committee.
- Collaborate with other department heads to draft, formulate, and continuously update policies and procedures to ensure they align with legal and legislative changes.
- Participate in the legal review of potential investments the exchange is considering, preparing recommendations and reports for direct supervisors and senior management.
- Review and evaluate operational procedures, performance metrics, and quality standards from a legal perspective, suggesting improvements to direct supervisors.
- Identify potential risks within the department's operations, develop plans to mitigate them, and inform the risk department accordingly to prevent recurrence.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the department manager.
Job Requirements
Qualifications A bachelor s degree in Law or a related field is required with Minimum 4 Years Experience.
Preferred to have knowledge in Financial market laws and regulations.
Skills o Proven ability to conduct advanced legal research on Omani laws, regulations, and legislative decrees, particularly those governing financial markets, securities, and corporate law.
o Excellent skills in drafting a variety of legal documents, including internal memos, legal opinions, policy proposals, and contracts, in both Arabic and English.
Desired Candidate ProfileA bachelor s degree in Law or a related field is required with Minimum 4 Years Experience.
Preferred to have knowledge in Financial market laws and regulations.
