SUMMARY OF ROLE

The Unit Head Capital Markets is responsible for driving the growth, profitability, and strategic direction of the Capital Markets division. The role involves originating and executing investment banking transactions, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring a consistent pipeline of revenue opportunities. The incumbent oversees financial due diligence, transaction documentation, and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements. In addition, the Unit Head provides leadership, mentorship, and technical expertise to the team, fostering a high-performance culture and enhancing overall departmental capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Division Responsibility

· Consistent growth and profitability of the department; achieving department targets, as agreed with the management periodically

· Target clients and revenue opportunities and strike appropriate balance between short- and long-term revenue priorities

· Contributing to overall strategy for the investment banking business

Business Origination

· Develop client relevant transaction or product ideas by leveraging successful transaction expertise or generating new ideas

· Have primary client coverage responsibility and expert level of product knowledge across investment banking products

· Review the pitch materials and presentations to support new business development.

Due Diligence & Analysis

· Conduct financial due diligence, including reviewing and updating financial models.

· Supervise the key documents, reports, and valuation analyses to support transactions.

· Lead the client discussions and project update meetings

Documentation

· Supervise drafting transaction-related documents, including prospectuses, information memorandums (IMs), and engagement letters.

· Ensures compliance with all internal and external policies, procedures and processes relevant to the Department.

Team Management and Training

· Provide guidance and training to junior team members.

· Share relevant industry courses and training sessions to enhance team capabilities.

Requirements

· Master's Degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent

· 10+ year of related work experience (investment banking, corporate finance, or a similar role)
