To provide hands-on technical support, administration, and continuous improvement for Qpay's Buy-Now-Pay-Later (BNPL) platform and Loan Management System (LMS). The role covers three overlapping domains:

1. Platform Reliability & Release Support – ensuring the BNPL micro-services, APIs, and back-office LMS operate securely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

2. Enterprise Infrastructure & Messaging – administering corporate domains, DNS records, SSL/TLS certificates, and company email services (Zoho Workplace, SMTP relays, SPF/DKIM/DMARC).

3. Process-Flow & Integration Design – mapping and optimising end-to-end workflows between consumer apps, merchant portals, credit-decision engines, core banking integrations, AML/KYC services, and support desks.

Responsibilities

BNPL & LMS Operations

  • Monitor micro-services (Kubernetes / Docker), Kafka topics, and PostgreSQL clusters.
  • Triage and resolve level-2/3 incidents (latency, transaction mismatches, reconciliation gaps).
  • Automate release pipelines (GitLab CI/CD) and maintain roll-back plans.

Domain & Email Administration

  • Manage DNS zones, MX records, TXT records, CNAMEs, and certificate renewals via AWS Route 53 & Let's Encrypt.
  • Enforce email-security policies (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and administer user accounts, groups, and routing rules in Zoho.
  • Own abuse/SOC tickets for phishing or spoofing attempts.

Process-Flow & API Design

  • Produce BPMN or UML sequence diagrams that capture user journeys from checkout to settlement.
  • Document API payloads, idempotency keys, and error-handling guidelines.
  • Coordinate with compliance to embed AML/KYC checkpoints (e.g., Malaa eKYC, sanctions screening).
  • Platform Security & Compliance
  • Execute quarterly vulnerability scans, remediate OWASP Top-10 issues, and maintain evidence for Central Bank of Oman audits.
  • Enforce least-privilege IAM roles, rotate keys/secrets (AWS KMS, Vault), and monitor audit trails.

Reporting & Knowledge Transfer

  • Build Grafana dashboards for SLA metrics (uptime, average loan decision time, OTP success rate).
  • Create runbooks and "how-to" SOPs for on-call engineers and business analysts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field

Experience

  • 3–5 years in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Operations within fintech, digital banking, or payments.
  • Proven work on loan-originations platforms, core banking adapters, or payment gateways is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

  • Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
  • CI/CD: GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB; familiarity withFlyway/Liquibase migrations.
  • Cloud & Infra-as-Code: AWS (EKS, RDS, Route 53, S3), Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Messaging: Kafka, RabbitMQ.
  • Scripting: Python, Bash, or Go for automation.
