Pipe Fitter

Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems that transport fluids and gases, often under high pressure and in hazardous environments. Work with various materials like steel, copper, and specialized alloys, ensuring the integrity and safety of the systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings:able to understand complex schematics and specifications to accurately install piping systems.
• Measuring, cutting, and fabricating pipes:use various tools and techniques to prepare pipes for assembly, including cutting, threading, and welding.
• Installing and connecting pipes: assemble and join pipes using a variety of methods, including welding, threading, and using specialized fittings.
• Ensuring system integrity and safety:conduct pressure tests, identify leaks, and perform repairs to maintain the reliability and safety of the piping systems.
• Working with diverse materials and equipment:work with different types of pipes (steel, copper, etc.), fittings, valves, and specialized tools.
• Adhering to safety regulations:responsible for following strict safety procedures and using personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent accidents and injuries in hazardous environments.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience of 3 years in oil & gas is required
• Technical skills:Proficient in blueprint reading, pipefitting techniques, welding, and using various tools.
• Physical fitness and stamina:Pipefitting can be physically demanding, requiring the ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking:They need to be able to identify and resolve issues with piping systems.
• Attention to detail and precision:Accuracy is crucial in pipefitting to ensure proper connections and prevent leaks.
• Teamwork and communication:Pipe Fitters often work as part of a team and must communicate effectively with other tradespeople.
