Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing complex piping systems that carry fluids, gases, and chemicals under various pressures and temperatures. Lead teams, interpret technical drawings, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of these critical systems, adhering to strict safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Assembly:Select, measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes, valves, and fittings according to project specifications and blueprints.
  • System Maintenance and Repair:Inspect, diagnose, and repair leaks, corrosion, and other issues in piping systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Blueprint Interpretation:Accurately read and interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to guide pipefitting activities.
  • Welding and Fabrication:Perform welding and fabrication tasks, including joining pipes and fittings using various welding techniques, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Team Leadership and Supervision:Supervise and guide junior pipefitters, providing training and ensuring adherence to safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Safety Compliance:Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, promoting a safe work environment for themselves and others.
  • Material Handling and Management:Safely handle and transport pipes and related materials to the worksite, utilizing appropriate equipment and safety protocols.
  • Quality Control and Testing:Conduct pressure tests, leak tests, and other inspections to verify the integrity of piping systems.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience of atleast 4 years in oil & gas industry is required
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret and work from complex technical drawings and schematics.
  • Welding Skills: Proficiency in various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, and other methods.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in piping systems.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to effectively collaborate with team members and communicate with engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Safety Awareness: Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the oil and gas industry.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various environmental conditions.
