Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee the company's financial operations, ensure accuracy in accounting processes, and maintain compliance with local and international financial standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of both retail and manufacturing accounting practices.

This role requires close coordination with management, operations, HR, and external auditors to support financial planning, control, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1.
Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, payables, receivables, inventory, and payroll accounting.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure timely closing of accounts and submission of management reports.
  • Maintain accuracy and compliance with IFRS and local tax regulations.

2. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Prepare annual budgets and forecasts in coordination with department heads.
  • Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective measures.
  • Implement and maintain effective cost control systems for both factory and retail operations.

3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Monitor daily cash flow and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
  • Manage bank relationships, reconciliations, and financial facilities.
  • Assist management in investment and funding decisions.

4. Audit & Compliance

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate tax, and statutory obligations.
  • Maintain proper documentation for financial and regulatory inspections.

5. Systems & Process Improvement

  • Lead automation and digital transformation initiatives in accounting and reporting systems (ERP).
  • Continuously review and enhance internal financial controls and standard operating procedures.

6. Leadership & Team Development

  • Supervise and mentor junior accountants and finance staff.
  • Ensure timely task delegation, performance tracking, and professional growth of the team.
  • Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Professional Qualification: ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent (mandatory).
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Industry Exposure: Experience in retail and/or garment manufacturing preferred.
  • System Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.

Language:
Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
