HVAC Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

  • Review project drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications to prepare execution plans.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers for project requirements and approvals.
  • Develop work schedules and allocate manpower/resources effectively.
  • Ensure proper planning for material, equipment, and tools availability at site.

Site Execution & Supervision

  • Supervise and monitor installation of HVAC equipment and systems including AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV, ducting, and piping.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure installations are as per approved drawings, standards, and project specifications.
  • Resolve technical/site issues by liaising with design team, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure safe working practices are followed and compliance with HSE standards.

Quality & Documentation

  • Prepare method statements, installation checklists, and as-built documentation.
  • Verify materials and equipment received at site against approved submittals.
  • Conduct testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) activities in coordination with commissioning teams.
  • Maintain daily/weekly progress reports and update project management team.

Technical Support & Communication

  • Provide technical guidance to supervisors and technicians during installation.
  • Attend site meetings with consultants and contractors to discuss progress and resolve issues.
  • Support project manager with variation claims, re-measurable works, and client handover documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or related field.
  • [3–6] years of HVAC project experience in installation, with proven track record in commercial/industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems installation, and commissioning.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of international codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, .) preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Site-based with frequent interaction at construction locations.
  • May require extended hours/weekend work depending on project deadlines.
