Job Description

Position: Field Instrumentation / SCADA / Telecom Supervisor

• Reporting to Field Superintendent, the personnel shall perform daily supervision, audits, surveillance and inspection of instrumentation, SCADA and communication activities to verify compliance with the requirements and to ensure that the materials and equipment are in accordance with the specifications.
• Supervise the instrumentation, SCADA and communication construction and installation.
• The Supervisor will review and approve all on instrumentation, SCADA and communication construction works with respect to the approved procedures and drawings for the project.
• Review and verify project specifications, installation procedure, ITP, method statement drawings before start of work / activities. Coordinates, evaluates, and participates in the maintenance and enhancement of process automation and network functionality; engineers, installs, upgrades, configures, integrates, and maintains process automation and information networks across multiple platforms, including PLCs, SCADA, I/O networks, HMIs, servers, virtual machines, web servers, workstations, printers, and routers.

Supervise instrumentation, SCADA and communication Contractors during the execution of construction activities at construction site.

• Participate in reviewing method statements, material requisitions, and etc.
• Supervise and approve construction activities
• Report progress on the activities, versus the contractor's programs, and advise of any potential slippages to the Head of Construction.
• Review and comment on the contractors planning related to electrical activities.
• Liaise closely with Operations personnel to ensure that they are kept fully informed of the contractor's activities and that appropriate Operations input is obtained during the implementation of the work.
• Carryout daily checks on contractor's staff and work carried out during the previous day in order to ensure compliance with the project schedule.
• Handle all aspects of instrumentation, SCADA and communication Construction activities.
• Maintain a daily record of progress (daily diary) noting special Reports to supervisor work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensures that the project construction work is carried out as per the assigned schedule and resolves all the construction problems on the spot, so as to improve the productivity.
• Participate In development of as-built drawings/documentation.
• Prepare Punch list for finished work prior to hand over to end user.
• Report to Company Construction Manager on main issues, events at site, progress reporting, trends, and recommendation for improvement.
• Accountable for supervising contractor's work that is in progress, inspecting work, reporting problems, and preventing accidents occurring as a result of negligence, by enforcing Company safety standards on the work

Requiered Skills :

• Diploma or Bachelor degree in Instrumentation and Control or Electronics and Telecommunications or Information Technology and Telecommunications Engineering.
• Relevant 15 years relevant experience, of which minimum 5 years in Oil & Gas industry with

PMC, EPIC / EPC contractor or Operating Company.

Possess sound fundamentals in his discipline area and shall possess very good technical skills in his discipline.

Experience in operations, maintenance and projects' precommissioning, commissioning and hand-over activities.
