Job responsibilities:

1. Operational Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with OCC's overall business objectives.
  • Improve operational efficiency, cost reduction, and production reliability.
  • Align plant operations with Huaxin Group's best practices, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Drive performance improvement and continuous process optimization.

2. Production & Process Optimization

  • Oversee cement manufacturing, production planning, and process control.
  • Implement process automation and advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensure raw material balance, clinker quality, and optimal energy consumption.
  • Improve the utilization rate of hydrated clinker and alternative raw materials.

3. Maintenance & Asset Management

  • Lead equipment maintenance strategy to improve plant reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Oversee kiln, mill, and machinery maintenance schedules.
  • Optimize spare parts inventory and reduce dependency on OEM spare parts.

4. Cost Control & Efficiency

  • Improve fuel, electricity, and raw material consumption rates.
  • Reduce maintenance and operational costs while improving plant performance.
  • Drive operational budgeting, forecasting, and cost-saving initiatives.

5. Safety, Compliance & Sustainability

  • Ensure HSE compliance and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Align with Omani environmental regulations and Huaxin's sustainability goals.
  • Improve water and energy efficiency, ensuring compliance with government and industry standards.

6. Team Development & Leadership

  • Lead and develop the operations, maintenance, and production teams.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture with KPIs and incentives.
  • Ensure skill development through technical training programs.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Finance, and HR to align operational and commercial strategies.
  • Support new product development and market competitiveness.
  • Enhance communication and coordination between functions and the Board.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Production efficiency & utilization rates.
  • Energy and fuel consumption per ton of clinker.
  • Equipment uptime and maintenance cost reduction.
  • Reduction in hydrated clinker stock.
  • Cost savings from process optimization.
  • Compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Operational budget adherence.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • related experience in cement process, or chemical engineering.
  • 20+ years of experience in cement manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of kiln operations, process engineering, and quality control.
  • Experience in cost control, efficiency improvements, and team leadership.
  • Familiarity with Huaxin Cement Group's best practices is a plus.
