Testing and Certification Specialist – Domestic Card Scheme

Central Bank of Oman is seeking to recruit competent, committed, self-motivated and enthusiastic Omani candidate to work as Testing and Certification Specialist – Domestic Card Scheme.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage the DCS Testing and Certification Framework and governance, including, EMVCo certification process for payment systems, comprising L1, L2, and L3 testing.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test scenarios and scripts to validate compliance with EMV chip specifications
  • Define and oversee technical testing, acceptance criteria, and compliance benchmarks.
  • Manage certification processes for cards, POS terminals, ATMs, e-commerce gateways, and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues related to EMV compliance.
  • Collaborate with vendors for certification tools vendors
  • Supervise end-to-end participant testing: pilot, SIT, UAT, certification, and recertification.
  • Analyze and interpret test results to ensure the accuracy and reliability of payment systems
  • Provide technical support to participants during testing.
  • Maintain official certification records and track participant compliance.
  • Update the framework in line with evolving security standards and market developments.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Deep technical expertise in EMV standards (contact, contactless) and card personalization.
  • Knowledge of ISO 8583/ISO 20022 messaging standards.
  • Experience working with major test laboratories and certification authorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, E-Commerce or related field.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in EMV certification and testing roles.
