Wood is currently hiring for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our office in Muscat, Oman. In this role, you will execute activities and processes associated with Electrical Engineering in the project. You will apply and expand hands-on experience in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, commissioning, and operation in the oil & gas industry. You will be responsible for supporting and executing general engineering activities directly linked to Electrical engineering.

Responsibilities
  1. Apply electrical engineering practices, standards, and design codes.
  2. Assist electrical engineers in reviewing engineering deliverables.
  3. Compile information from contractor reports; evaluate and analyze using electrical engineering standards and codes.
  4. Attend engineering reviews and meetings.
  5. Participate actively in engineering reviews.
  6. Coordinate, prepare, and record engineering reviews as assigned by the Lead Electrical Engineer.
  7. Follow up on the turnover of electrical engineering documents.
  8. Participate in equipment selection and procurement processes.
  9. Attend workshops and site inspections of electrical facilities as planned.
  10. Participate in solving electrical engineering challenges during development of the Front End Package or detailed engineering.
  11. Inspect project sites to monitor HSE, progress, and ensure conformance to design specifications and standards.
  12. Identify gaps in practices and tools, and develop new practices or tools to enhance technological offerings.
  13. Report any safety breaches to supervision/management.
  14. Participate in discussions with Asset Owners pre and post-contract award to assess and define user requirements.
  15. Promote and participate in company health and safety campaigns, policies, and procedures.
  16. Coordinate, execute, and oversee electrical engineering design projects.
  17. Ensure technical accuracy, quality, and cost-effectiveness of electrical engineering applications.
  18. Follow safety and quality control procedures during all work activities.
  19. Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  3. Experience in the Middle East is preferred.
  4. Experience working in an operating company is preferred.
  5. Proven core electrical engineering skills, including design experience (FEED and detailed engineering), preferably in the oil & gas sector.
