The Officer Procurement & MIS executes procurement activities for RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs up to OMR 25,000, ensures timely acquisition of goods and services, and maintains vendor relationships to support operational needs. He/ She monitors and maintains the Corporate Support Services MIS for accurate tracking, reporting, and data analysis. The Officer Procurement & MIS also manages the service desk to ensure procurement-related requests are logged, tracked, and resolved in compliance with policies, procedures, and budgetary controls.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Executes procurement tasks according to approved plans and operational requirements.
  • Manages the Corporate Support Services MIS to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and procurement analysis.
  • Processes RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs up to OMR 25,000 in line with internal procurement policies.
  • Maintains vendor relationships and monitors performance to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Negotiates pricing and terms to support cost-effective procurement strategies.
  • Identifies cost-saving opportunities and proposes process enhancements to improve procurement efficiency.
  • Ensures procurement records and documentation in compliance with regulatory and audit standards.
  • Operates the procurement service desk, ensuring all requests are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Monitors inventory and stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Ensures procurement expenses align with budgetary instructions set by the line manager.
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives related to procurement systems and reporting tools.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, Accounting, Process Operation, or a related field is required.
  • Certification in Supply Chain or Procurement (e.g., CISP, CPM) is desired.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office tools is required.
  • Knowledge of contract management, documentation, Oman tender law and quality control processes is preferred.
  • Good understanding of procurement procedures and service desk operations.
