Manager – Business Development – Strategic Project

As The Business Development Manager - Strategic Project you will be required to identify, negotiate and manage long-term partnerships with other potential enterprise partners who can significantly improve the value of Nawras across the business such as service providers, major content providers, major technology partners, banks, Government entities, quasi-government entities, large corporate clients, and VIPs.

The role is responsible for Nawras's Strategic and Business development (functional strategies, scenario planning, business assessment and improvement initiatives) mostly related to technology and media; but not only. Wide experience from projects/ program management (both marketing and technical projects) and from the creative strategies how to turn network functionalities into a competitive advantage in the market.

You will be responsible to supervise assigned staff at the level determined by senior management, identify areas and opportunities where a strategic alliance would add significant value to the business of Nawras strategically and operationally.

Responsibilities shall also include the following:

  1. Responsible for financial and operational evaluation to ensure enhanced value creation and compiling of commercial proposals.
  2. Responsible for the fixed and mobile network analysis (strategy benefits, detailed work plan, technical solution for network and services, including resource planning and budgeting).
  3. Managing partnerships and keeping a watching brief to ensure they bring long-term benefit to both Nawras and the partner.
  4. Ensuring that any partnerships formulated and implemented and maintained at a level of utilization that fully benefits Nawras.
  5. Maintaining a solid understanding of the telecom industry and business trends both regionally and globally.
  6. Approaching potential partners to ascertain the projected capability of the partner and the suitability of the business relationship with Nawras and negotiating.

To be considered for this role you should have a university degree in telecommunications / information technology or related field with 8 years of working experience in strategic alliance management or business development, in which 4 years of experience in the telecoms or IT industry.

You should have experience in evaluating and concluding business development projects and having an MBA would be an advantage.

Very good written and spoken English
Good written and spoken Arabic is desirable.
