We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Planning Engineer in Oman who will be responsible for:

Key Duties:

Reporting to the Associate Director, specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Function as the main advisor to the Project Managers / Director on all issues concerning planning, scheduling, and resources needed. Deal with progress management, delays, corrective actions, and claims.
  2. Identify the content of weekly / monthly progress reports according to the client's requirements.
  3. Support the claims team if needed.
  4. Create information collection systems and tools to ensure data accuracy and eliminate confusion and incorrect figures.
  5. Provide information and make decisions on issues related to issuing the baseline schedule, such as project structure, activity codes, logical sequencing, linking, and level of detail.
  6. Control liquidity damages and suggest appropriate measures.
  7. Identify critical paths and any changes affecting them during progress updates, providing visibility to areas of concern and delays.
  8. Analyze progress and delays using accurate measurement systems and recommend corrective actions like re-sequencing to meet milestones.
Skill Set Required:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
  • Airport experience is essential.
  • 10-15 years of postgraduate estimating experience.
  • Ability to manage projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong team player.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Skilled in summarizing detailed work into concise executive briefs.
