About the Company

Masar Petroleum SAOC is a leading oil and gas operator. We are seeking highly motivated, intelligent individuals to join us in achieving operational excellence and expanding our footprint in the upstream industry.

About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Business Support Department to manage key strategic areas essential for efficient operations. This role will directly support the CEO and executive team in planning, data management, and governance while serving as a crucial focal point between internal teams and external committees.

The successful candidate will lead a department with three core responsibilities:

Role 1: Planning

  1. Create and manage drilling and work-over sequences.
  2. Collaborate with subsurface teams for production and economics input, integrating this into the operational plan.
  3. Coordinate with surface and facilities teams to ensure operational readiness and alignment with mid- to long-term goals.
  4. Partner with Supply Chain to ensure availability of materials and long-lead items.

Role 2: Data Management

  1. Establish and manage a robust system for data handling and analysis.
  2. Collaborate with various departments to design effective data management structures.
  3. Ensure data quality is maintained across all systems and processes.

Role 3: Government Committees Focal Point

  1. Prepare quarterly presentations for Technical and Joint Operating Committees.
  2. Track, follow up, and ensure timely closure of action items generated from these committees.

General Responsibilities

  1. Support the CEO and executive management team in executing tasks related to planning, data management, and governance.
  2. Develop and refine internal systems, utilizing in-house developers to create software solutions for planning and data management.
  3. Serve as secretary for executive meetings and the shareholders' board, providing key administrative and strategic support.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in the Exploration & Production sector.
  • Deep understanding of the planning cycle in an upstream oil and gas environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with excellent IT literacy.
  • Self-driven, motivated, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Commerce (or a related field).
