JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for tracking the company's financial performance against plans, analyzing business results to generate forecasts, and supporting senior management in tactical and strategic decision-making through periodic reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Strategy and Planning:

  1. Consolidate and analyze financial data in alignment with the company's goals and financial standing.
  2. Propose cost-saving strategies and recommendations to enhance financial performance.
  3. Assemble and summarize financial data to prepare detailed reports on financial status and risk assessment.

B. Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  1. Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  2. Conduct thorough analysis of historical financial data to support strategic planning.
  3. Analyze monthly financial results against budgets and forecasts.
  4. Identify trends, monitor variances, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
  5. Review accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  6. Develop financial models to support decision-making, especially for new projects and developments.
  7. Perform business valuations using various valuation methodologies.
  8. Prepare high-quality business review presentations for stakeholder communication.
  9. Forecast medium- and long-term cash flows to support financial planning.
  10. Liaise with banks for daily financial operations.
  11. Monitor daily borrowing and fixed deposit rates, ensuring alignment with financial strategy.
  12. Provide timely reports and data required by management, the Board of Directors, or shareholders.
  13. Review and approve purchase orders in line with budgetary constraints.
  14. Maintain a bi-weekly overview of the group's cash position.
  15. Ensure timely reconciliation and submission of monthly bank statements, resolving discrepancies promptly.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (BA, BS, or B.Com), with a professional certification (CFA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA).
  • Experience in a Big 4 transaction advisory role is preferred.
  • 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong analytical and data-gathering capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Organized, goal-oriented, and capable of prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Proactive and takes initiative in suggesting improvements and providing support where needed.
