Country Marketing Manager | Retail | IKEA Egypt

Location: Egypt

This role involves managing all media approaches (Paid, Owned, Earned) both online and offline, overseeing the Loyalty program (including marketing contributions to CRM, IKEA FAMILY, IKEA Business, and other customer segments), and developing strategies to enhance customer engagement and brand awareness.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing the IKEA Brand to ensure its identity, values, and benefits are properly communicated, aligning with the IKEA Concept & Brand objectives.
  2. Ensuring brand awareness and positioning, understanding the IKEA concept, and fostering a positive impression of the range and personality.
  3. Participating as a member of the Egypt management team to achieve business results, ensuring synergy across markets, and coordinating marketing campaigns and advertising efforts.
  4. Implementing marketing strategies to maximize sales, increase market share, and attract more visitors to stores.
  5. Aligning internal and external communications with the IKEA concept and contributing to the multi-year business plan.
  6. Conducting IKEA Brand capital research with the Consumer and Customer Engagement Manager, and following up on positioning objectives.
  7. Coordinating marketing activities between stores, the service office, and Inter IKEA Systems B.V.
  8. Supporting the opening of new IKEA stores in Egypt, including preparing work briefs for opening campaigns.
  9. Collaborating with the Catalogue Manager to support catalogue distribution and strategy.
  10. Creating and implementing annual plans for consumer engagement and in-store events to enhance shopping experiences and generate word-of-mouth promotion.
  11. Developing and managing the PR calendar to promote IKEA's long-term priorities and leadership initiatives.
  12. Working with regional and local teams to develop and execute short-term (1 year) and long-term (3 years) marketing strategies aligned with the business calendar.
  13. Ensuring the use of proven IKEA solutions and best practices in marketing planning and implementation.
  14. Driving visitor numbers and increasing brand awareness, collaborating closely with stores on local activities throughout the year.

Required skills include strategic planning, analytical thinking, effective communication, copywriting, proficiency in MS Office, leadership, project management, interpersonal skills, business acumen, problem-solving, confidence, and change management.

Education: Degree in Marketing, Management, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
