About the Role

The role involves overseeing and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in construction projects, particularly related to overhead lines (OHL) and grid station projects.

Qualifications

  • Approved from Oman Electricity Transmission Company OETC
  • Have at least (5-7) years of experience in a similar role in construction projects.
  • Hold a recognized HSE training certificate (NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, ISO 45001, ISO 145001)
  • Hold OETC HSE training certificates (System Safety Roles SSR, Risk Assessment, Environmental Awareness)
  • Experience with construction of OHTL and grid station projects.
  • Well acquainted with Oman Electricity Transmission Company OETC Procedures.
  • Understanding of Quality Management System is required.

Required Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to conduct QHSE audits.
  • Training ability in minimizing quality defects, service interruption, incident prevention.
  • Ability to conduct incident investigations and identify underlying causes.
  • Knowledge of Occupational health requirements, rules and regulations, and ability to monitor compliance.
  • Knowledge of environmental requirements, rules and regulations, and ability to monitor compliance and identify ways of reducing environmental impact.
  • Knowledge of quality specifications, parameters and regulations, and the ability to monitor compliance and identify ways of reducing service delays, product failures, etc.
  • Be conversant with techniques used in the management of hazards and advising on suitable measures which can be used for preventing and ultimately recovering from accident situations.
  • Be able to develop and facilitate implementation of Contract QHSE Plans.
  • Be conversant with OETC QHSE policies and procedures.
