Petroleum Development Oman is the leading exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company delivers the majority of the country's crude oil production and natural gas supply.

Purpose of the Job
  • Plan, organize, manage and execute contract engineering activities from initial strategy development to award and follow up the post-award contract management phases for all contracts in portfolio.
  • Structure and develop a selection of commercial models based on the value drivers of project and shareholders through global benchmarks/best practices.
  • Translate commercial models to contractual documents and identify the interconnectivity of the commercial models throughout the contract.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Operations Management, Quantity Surveying, Economics, Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years of work experience in Contract Engineering, Finance, Corporate Planning, Economics, Commercial roles or equivalent.
Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain HSE as a priority through compliance with PDO house rules and HSE golden rules.
  • Independently manage the full sourcing process from strategy development to contract award.
  • Advise and support PDO end users to ensure common goals and understanding.
  • Develop and execute pre and post-award contract management plans.
  • Support the development of technical and commercial evaluation models.
  • Liaise with the Contract Holder team to manage contract changes and variations.
  • Set-up and maintain all contracts and related documents in Omnicom and SAP.
  • Identify areas of improvement in contracts management and participate in related workshops.
  • Support and coach Contract Analyst, Contract Engineer, and other staff.
  • Provide analytical assessments in cashflow or economical models.
  • Sound understanding of the oil and gas business to identify opportunities and threats.
