CMIMS & Spare Parts Leader

Our client, a global leader in energy projects, is seeking an experienced CMIMS (Computerized Maintenance and Inspection Management System) & Spare Parts Lead to join their team for a major LNG project, part of their energy transition strategy.

This is a residential role in Muscat, Oman.

The successful candidate will oversee the development, implementation, and operational readiness of the CMIMS and spare parts strategy, ensuring maintenance and inspection activities are accurately represented and spare parts are effectively managed to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

The role reports to the Maintenance and Inspection Manager and involves ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and availability of maintenance data and spare parts inventory in SAP to support maintenance operations throughout the project lifecycle.

Main tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Project phase:

• Responsibility for all MIE (Maintenance and Inspection Engineering) deliverables within the field of expertise.
• Developing relationships with site personnel, technical teams, contractors, vendors, and engineering teams.
• Leading the setup and configuration of the CMIMS, ensuring alignment with standards.
• Coordinating with EPC contractors and vendors to validate technical data for CMIMS loading.

Within the project team:

• Participating in configuration and deployment of the CMIMS.
• Ensuring accurate technical documentation and data from vendors and OEMs.
• Overseeing data migration and system testing before commissioning.
• Maintaining and structuring the CMIMS database.
• Developing scopes of work and participating in tender preparations for maintenance contracts.

Operations phase:

• Acting as SAP key user, ensuring correct use of CMIMS, and assisting with facility performance and diagnostics.
• Updating and improving the CMIMS database.
• Monitoring system performance and data quality.
• Managing spare parts inventory levels, reorder points, and procurement requests.

Desired background and experience:

• Experience in operational maintenance within LNG or Oil & Gas sectors.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in SAP PM and MM administration and optimization.
• Experience in project architecture, spare parts cataloguing, inventory control, and warehouse operations is a plus.
