Responsibilities

1. Developing GIS Applications: Design, develop, test, and implement GIS applications, tools, and functionalities to meet project requirements and stakeholder needs.

2. Spatial Database Management: Manage spatial databases, including data storage, retrieval, manipulation, and optimization for efficient use in GIS applications.

3. Data Analysis and Visualization: Conduct spatial analysis, data modeling, and visualization to derive insights and support decision-making processes.

4. Customization and Integration: Customize and integrate GIS software packages and tools to enhance functionality and interoperability with other systems.

5. GIS Programming: Write and maintain code in languages such as C# for GIS application development and automation.

6. Geospatial Web Development: Develop web-based GIS applications and services using technologies like RESTful APIs, XML, SOAP, JSON or OpenLayers.

7. Quality Assurance and Testing: Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of GIS applications through rigorous testing and quality assurance procedures.

8. Documentation and Training: Document GIS application designs, workflows, and functionalities. Provide training and support to end-users as needed.

9. Stay Updated: Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in GIS development and spatial data management.

Requirments:

1. Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geomatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 3-6 years of experience in the same field.

2. Must have strong written and oral communication skills in English & Arabic.

3. Proven experience in GIS application development, preferably in a professional setting.

4. Proficiency in GIS software such as GeoMedia, G/G/Technology, ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Maps, Google Earth, or similar platforms.

5. Strong programming skills in languages such as the Microsoft .NET platform or C#.

6. Experience with spatial databases (e.g., Oracle Spatial, PostgreSQL/PostGIS) and SQL query optimization.

7. Knowledge and experience in developing applications using the Microsoft .NET platform and Web Services using RESTful APIs, XML, SOAP, or JSON.

8. Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

9. Practical experience in editing and digitizing GIS data.

10. Experience in editing data in an Enterprise Geodatabase (multi-user database).

11. Good organizational skills, as well as the ability and willingness to learn and grow professionally.
