About Jumeirah Muscat Bay
Set in the secluded cove of Bandar Jissah, nestled between the Al Hajar Mountains and the Gulf of Oman, Jumeirah Muscat Bay invites guests to discover Muscat's breathtaking nature, with mountains meeting the sea at the resort's doorstep. The resort features 195 rooms and suites with spectacular ocean views, including ten opulent summerhouses and villas featuring private plunge ools and private beach access.
Opened in 2022, the resort offers a diverse array of amenities, including a sprawling 1,200 square meter Talise Spa, a Pedi:Mani:Cure Studio by Bastien Gonzalez, a PADI and SSI certified dive centre, numerous leisure facilities and adventurous wellbeing experiences, plus several signature dining options and a kids club, providing ample opportunity to relax and recharge.
About the Job
An opportunity has arisen for an Executive Housekeeper to join our Team in Jumeirah Muscat Bay. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
To strategically lead and manage the housekeeping department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction are consistently met. Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping team. Develop and implement strategic housekeeping procedures and standards, managing inventory and supplies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure proper inventories of linen, uniforms, and all operating equipment in housekeeping are conducted in line with audit standards to manage costs effectively.
- Enforce all safety rules, emergency procedures, and fire prevention regulations according to Jumeirah HS&E standards to ensure the safety of guests and colleagues.
- Oversee the control of cleaning and guest supplies; receiving, recording, handling, and storage, to minimize losses and maximize resource use.
- Liaise with other managers in the Rooms Division, Technical Services Department, and Director of Rooms to monitor service quality, discuss operational problems, and ensure repair works are efficiently delivered.
- Participate in the preparation of the Annual Business Plan and ensure all tasks in the housekeeping operations are completed to ensure a successful operation according to Jumeirah Brand Standards.
- Develop and implement modernization of cleaning methods and equipment to ensure high-quality cleanliness and increased performance, meeting guest expectations.
- Provide creative set-up of guest amenities and supplies, ensure cleanliness standards are maintained throughout the property, and support inspections of all VIP rooms and villas to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Ensure the teams are well-trained and supervise the maintenance of the property to high standards.
- Monitor and analyze products and offerings of competitive hotels (local and international) to benchmark and stay updated with the latest trends, maintaining a competitive advantage.
- Prepare, review, update, and maintain departmental budgets, policies, procedures, operations manuals, training plans, audits, and checklists to achieve/exceed budgeted goals and ensure strict compliance with quality control standards.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field. Diploma in Hotel Management
- A Master's degree Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field.
