Perform in-depth technical analysis, design, operationalize strategies, assess projects, facilitate and conduct feasibility studies and contribute to the successful execution of Oman's green hydrogen strategy by assisting in the common use infrastructure (CUI), technical studies, and project management. The role involves data analysis, stakeholder coordination, and process optimization to enhance the efficiency and transparency of hydrogen project agreements.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Common-Use Infrastructure Support:

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring the development of shared infrastructure (pipelines, storage, ports, and utilities) for the hydrogen sector.
  • Support feasibility studies, technical assessments, and infrastructure readiness evaluations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including government entities, developers, and investors, to align infrastructure plans with sector needs.

CUI PMO Support:

  • Support Program Management Office (PMO) in overseeing workstreams related to green hydrogen infrastructure.
  • Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure progress.
  • Assist in coordinating cross-functional meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements to enhance ecosystem readiness.

Technical Team Assistance:

  • Provide analytical support to the technical team in reviewing engineering studies, project designs, and technology evaluations.
  • Assist in developing technical guidelines, reports, and recommendations for infrastructure development.
  • Track advancements in hydrogen production, transportation, and storage technologies to inform decision-making.

Partnerships and Collaboration:

  • Engage with cross-functional teams, including engineering, policy, and business development teams.
  • Build relationships with external partners, such as technology providers, financial institutions, and government bodies.

Data Analysis and Optimization:

  • Use advanced analytics to optimize green hydrogen production and distribution systems.
  • Leverage tools such as Python, R, or Power BI for data-driven insights.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related fields.
  • Master's degree in Energy Systems, Sustainability, or MBA is preferred.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP), PRINCE2, or similar is desirable.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy, hydrogen projects, or related industries.
  • Proven track record in market analysis, strategic planning, or project feasibility assessments.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data.
  • Excellent knowledge of green hydrogen technologies, electrolyzers, and storage systems.
  • Proficiency in techno-economic modeling and forecasting tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of PMO frameworks, stakeholder coordination, and regulatory compliance.
