Financial Analyst Job Description

This role involves conducting thorough financial audits to ensure the accuracy of hotel revenue records. The candidate will be responsible for verifying financial documents, reporting any discrepancies, and supporting operational departments with their tasks.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Revenue Verification: Ensure all hotel revenues (rooms, F&B, spa, laundry, business center, etc.) are accurately posted and reported.
  • Daily Revenue Reports: Prepare and distribute these reports to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Income Audit Checklist: Complete this checklist daily to maintain consistency in reporting.
  • Rebate and Allowance Management: Verify rebates, allowances, paid outs, corrections, and transfers, ensuring proper sequencing and approvals.
Audit and Compliance Tasks:
  • Complimentary Room Authorizations: Review housekeeping reports to verify complimentary room authorizations.
  • Rate Variance Reports: Validate the accuracy of rate variance reports from reservations.
  • Officer's Checks and Entertainment Bills: Check these items for proper approval and justification.
  • Barter Transactions: Confirm that barter transactions are documented and approved.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: Experience in income audit, finance, or accounting, preferably in a hospitality setting.
  • Hospitality Knowledge: Strong knowledge of hotel operations and revenue streams.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Integrity: High level of integrity and ability to work with confidential information.
  • Time Management: Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in PMS and accounting software (Opera, Sun, etc.).
