Job Title: Compliance and Risk Officer

Reporting Line: Director of Compliance

Location: Oman (some local travel required)

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of risk management principles and the ability to apply them in a practical setting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide training and awareness programs for staff on workplace safety and risk management.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports and recommend preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety and risk awareness.
  • Maintain records of incidents, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
  • Stay updated on local and international safety regulations and advise management on best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in risk management, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in risk management or occupational health and safety is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in risk management roles.

  • Effective communication and training abilities.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of risk management principles and the ability to apply them in a practical setting. They will be able to communicate complex information effectively and provide training and awareness programs for staff.
