Senior Financial Accountant Position

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity and compliance of our organization.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and finance, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in similar positions. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and holding a related professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or CPA is required. Additionally, proficiency in key finance business activities, including hydrocarbon transportation processes, is necessary. The ability to deliver under pressure while maintaining professional standards is also essential.

  • Maintain and regularly update the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Monitor and track all asset-related transactions, including acquisitions, transfers, disposals, revaluations, and impairments, while ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  • Collaborate with project teams and finance business departments to facilitate the timely capitalization of assets and alignment with project completion milestones.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and reconciliations of fixed asset records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

A successful Senior Financial Accountant must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in SAP and Power BI is desirable, along with the ability to manage monthly reporting and routines.

The ideal candidate should have a creative mindset, be a team player, and possess an enterprise-wide perspective. Excellent communication and writing skills are necessary for effective interaction with various stakeholders.

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing regular reports and analysis on fixed asset performance, trends, and variances to management.
  • Supporting audits by providing detailed asset records and reports as required, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Executing PDO Ledgers maintenance requirements and integrity checks, including timely updates of relevant data such as oil reserves and production for Unit of Production depreciation.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Identify opportunities to improve existing business processes and collaborate with the IT team to support process automation.
  • Actively participate in the preparation and submission of Shareholders' monthly and quarterly reports.
