Strategic Financial Analyst


About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Financial Analyst to lead our business financial modeling advisory function. This role involves developing and maintaining advanced financial models, scenario analysis, and planning frameworks that support strategic decision-making.

The successful candidate will ensure the integration of financial planning with operational execution, guiding investment decisions, divestments, and growth initiatives. They will also play a critical part in delivering accurate, data-driven insights that align with corporate objectives and enhance our financial performance and long-term value creation.

This role will act in accordance with our Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as policies, guidelines, and international standards, supported by our IT Technology platform, HSE standards, government regulations, and best practices.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and enhance financial models to support strategic decision-making, incorporating growth projects, asset divestments, and various market scenarios.
  • Drive the integration of scenario analysis and price sensitivity assessments into all financial planning activities to evaluate potential risks and returns under multiple business environments.
  • Guide the implementation of advanced planning systems, forecasting tools, and financial databases to support dynamic and responsive financial planning aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Advise business units and leadership on the financial implications of strategic initiatives, including capital deployment, divestiture options, and new investments.
  • Oversee and support the execution of the annual budgeting and planning cycle, including mid-year forecasts, rolling re-forecasts, and long-range planning updates.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role or domain, with a strong foundation in business planning and forecasting.
  • Oil & Gas / Energy sector experience is essential, with deep understanding of industry-specific financial and operational drivers.
