Structural Inspector Job Overview

  • As a structural inspector, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of structural works to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Verify that all structural elements comply with approved IFC and shop drawings.
  • Ensure that all materials used in the construction process are in line with the project's material submittals and structural specifications.
  • Review contractor inspection reports (IRs) for structural inspections and confirm that they are ready for further action.
  • Coordinate and witness various structural testing such as slump tests, cube tests, non-destructive testing (NDT), bolt torque checks, etc.
  • Monitor the installation of temporary structures like scaffolding, shoring, and bracing.
  • Raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) for any structural deficiencies found during inspections and track corrective measures taken.
  • Collaborate with the design and site team to resolve technical issues related to the project.
  • Document daily inspection findings and submit comprehensive reports to the structural team.
  • Participate in final inspections and assist with verifying the as-built conditions of the structure.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the line manager or supervisor.
