Job Title

A senior structural engineer position has become available within our company.

  • This is a senior role that will lead the structural supervision team and be responsible for reviewing IFC drawings, shop drawings, and structural calculations.
  • The candidate will also inspect ongoing steel erection and concrete works for compliance with project specifications and relevant codes and standards.
  • Strong coordination skills are required to work with the structural, architectural, and MEP teams on interfaces.
  • Material submittals including steel grades, welding, and concrete mix need to be validated by the candidate.
  • Maintaining contractor compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards is a key aspect of this role.
  • The successful candidate will review method statements and temporary works designs.
  • Site queries and technical issues will be addressed in a timely manner.
  • Ongoing monitoring of structural inspections including NDT, bolt torquing, and alignment is necessary.
  • Daily/weekly structural inspection reports will be prepared and tracked by the candidate.
  • Coordination meetings will be participated in to assess impacts of changes on structural integrity.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Over 10 years of experience in structural supervision, preferably in major steel works projects.
  • Proficiency in STAAD and Tekla software, as well as knowledge of Eurocodes or ACI/ASD standards.
