Job Description:

As the primary Linux distribution, Ubuntu underpins global cybersecurity. The role of Cybersecurity Manager has a direct impact on the safety and security of millions of users worldwide.

You will lead and develop a team of engineers, provide technical expertise on vulnerability remediation, drive the development of new cybersecurity engineering projects, and collaborate with upstream open source projects on vulnerability lifecycle management.

The cybersecurity engineering team's primary responsibility is to respond to emerging threats and secure the open-source ecosystem for community and enterprise use. Your work will improve the security of millions by addressing potential CVEs and vulnerabilities alongside the lifecycle of Canonical products such as Ubuntu.

  • Lead and develop a team of engineers
  • Provide technical guidance on vulnerability remediation
  • Drive the development of new cybersecurity engineering projects
  • Collaborate with upstream open source projects on vulnerability lifecycle handling
Requirements:
  • Exceptional academic achievements from both high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling narrative about your alternative path
  • Drive, and a track record of exceeding expectations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • A passion for developing and growing people and a track record of it
