Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our purchasing department, you will be responsible for executing and completing purchase requests and orders in a timely manner.

• Process and complete all administrative procedures concerning allocated requests and orders from receipt through the system until delivery or completion.
• Select the best price and quality quotations for received orders, ensuring efficient delivery schedules based on understanding needs and vendor stated periods.
• Clarify any concerns regarding purchase requests with initiating department personnel, including description, units, quantities, and specifications.
• Coordinate with buyers on matters concerning allocated requests, best practices for processing (quotes), and completing (delivery) within a logical timeframe.
• Verify and follow up on all pending orders through system reports or by reporting concerns.
• Forward approved and authorized purchase orders promptly to vendors.
• Follow up on daily market list deliveries and report any discrepancies.
• Review and update personally entered price quotations, supplier data, and validity dates.
• Explore new products available in the market as potential alternatives, inform concerned parties, and request samples for testing, ensuring equal or better quality and price.
• Inform about market offers, discounts, cost-saving substitutes, and potential brand shortages to benefit the organization.
• Maintain safe and environmentally friendly work practices to protect employees' and guests' health and safety, and conserve the environment.

This role requires excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related field is essential.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes and procedures, as well as excellent analytical and organizational skills. A proven track record of delivering results in a similar role would be highly advantageous.
