Job Description

Safeguard Employee Well-being and Enhance Productivity

The Specialist Occupational Health professional is responsible for formulating and implementing robust occupational health policies and measures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This includes conducting health risk assessments, monitoring workplace hygiene conditions, and recommending corrective actions to prevent occupational illnesses.

In addition, the role involves supporting fitness-to-work evaluations, coordinating pre-employment and periodic medical examinations, and collaborating with occupational health physicians to analyze trends in occupational illnesses and recommend preventive strategies.

The Specialist Occupational Health professional will also ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and international standards, maintain records and reports, and participate in audits and inspections related to occupational health.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Occupational Health

A minimum of 4 years of experience in occupational health management, including associated policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines, risk management techniques, audit management, and incident investigation and analysis.

Strategic Alignment

Ability to create clear reporting systems to enhance operational efficiency and overall effectiveness.

Continuous Improvement

Foster a culture of innovation and learning to adapt and grow in a changing environment.

Sustainability

Ability to meet the current business needs by compromising skills with the future generations' needs, balancing environmental, social, and economic concerns within the organization s communities.

Diversity and Inclusion

Soft Skills:

Strong interpersonal, analytical, communication, presentation, coaching, and project management.

Technical Skills:

Computer literate with expertise in MS Office and SAP Systems.

HSE, finance, budget, and reporting.

Omani and International Health and Safety Standards, regulations and HSE audits.

Fundamentals of HSSE - Comprehensive knowledge of occupational health and safety.
