As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our projects.

About the Role:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled QA/QC Engineer to provide quality assurance support activities on assigned functional areas of the project.
  • The successful candidate will ensure compliance with client quality requirements, reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as you will interact regularly with representatives from various functional groups, including program management, engineering, and construction.

You will be responsible for planning daily inspection activities and surveillances, identifying and resolving serious Health, Safety, or Environmental standards breaches, and conducting audits to verify plan and procedure adherence.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Daily Inspection Activities: Plan and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with project quality plans and procedures.
  2. Health, Safety, and Environmental Management: Identify and resolve serious breaches, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  3. Audit and Compliance: Conduct regular audits to verify adherence to project plans and procedures, providing documentary evidence.
  4. Construction Coordination: Coordinate with construction staff to plan inspections and testing activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  5. Subcontractor Management: Monitor subcontractors to ensure they adhere to Design-Builders (DB) Contractors project quality assurance and control plans.
  6. Quality Record Management: Ensure As-Built Quality Records are produced according to Inspection and Test Plans, maintaining accurate records throughout the project lifecycle.
  7. QC Inspector Guidance: Provide guidance to QC Inspectors on ITP content and record compilation, referencing materials specifications, tolerances, standards, certification, traceability, and use.
  8. Testing and Validation: Participate in Functional Acceptance Testing and System Acceptance Testing as required by the Project Manager.
  9. Material Management: Manage materials receipt, storage, and use, taking responsibility for all involved parties.
  10. Reporting and Dashboard: Produce high-standard weekly and monthly reports, including a dashboard of QA/QC KPIs.
Requirements:
  • A senior professional with a technical or engineering-related university degree is required.
  • Minimum ten (10) years' experience in Conventional Railway Projects is necessary.
  • A strong understanding of QA/QC principles, tools, and techniques is essential.
  • The ability to give sound knowledgeable advice on matters of Quality, Assurance, and Quality Control is required.
  • GCC experience is advantageous.
